Ryan Eisenbacher is from Springfield, Missouri, and is in his Junior year of a Graphic Design major at Park University. Get to know his experience below.

What do you think about your major? Could you briefly describe it?
Ryan: "I really enjoy what I get to do and what I'm studying in my major. Graphic Design briefly described is the design process of online and print media, such as websites, advertisements, and magazine spreads, as well as creating a brand's identity, such as developing their logo, products, packaging, promotional material, and other things the company might need."
How do you classify the level of difficulty of your major?
Ryan: "I would say that my major is moderately challenging, as the program expertise required is pretty sizable, and the programs are wide ranging and complicated. A few of these programs are Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. I've also gotten the chance to learn some animation software on Cinema 4D, in an optional Animation course."
Where do you intend to work in the future?
Ryan: "I hope to stay in Kansas City after my graduation next year, as after moving here to attend classes, I have really discovered how great the city is, and how much the art and design scene has to offer. "

Do you think the subjects you are learning are relevant?
Ryan: "I think Graphic Design is an incredibly relevant subject, as every company or organization has the need for Graphic Design to create the visuals both inside and outside their company, as properly designed work is quite beneficial for branding and overall success."
What do you think about your university? The professors offer all help you need?
Ryan: "I enjoy Park, as the main draw for me was the small, personal scale. The professors are all very personable and dedicated in my program."
How did you decide your major?
Ryan: "I decided my major after some research about how Graphic Design is one of the most stable and lucrative artistle fields, and after I was given a tour of the facilities and having great conversations with the heads of the design and fine art departments."

Do you live on campus?
Ryan: "I live off campus in an apartment with another Graphic Design student. I have lived in the dorms previously from my Freshmen year to the first semester of my Junior year, and it was enjoyable, but I always wanted to have my own space to work and cook from while studying."
How is it for you to study with international students?
Ryan: "I've really liked having the chance to talk to and get to know the international students at Park, as the stories from home and different opinions and backgrounds brought to conversations and projects is great."
- Thank you, Ryan, for the interview! I wish you success in everything you do!
